The use of Ibanez's own Nitro Wizard neck allows the Iron Label guitar to be extremely playable and optimised for lead guitarists. The thin nature of this neck helps to perform swift and nimble guitar runs seamlessly, whilst retaining enough substance to ensure a thick and full resonance when playing rhythm patterns and chords. Crafted from 3-piece maple and bubinga, the guitar's neck provides iron-like strength for enhanced neck stability and a strong sustain.
The RGIM7BC guitar features a rosewood fingerboard with angled frets which ergonomically coordinate with the way the player's hand pivots as it moves up and down the neck, offering a quick and comfortable play. The multi scale construction offers both short scale and long scale in one neck, allowing players to achieve immense tonal possibilities.
The Ibanez Iron Label guitar is designed with the metal guitarist in mind, featuring a set of EMG 808 pickups originally created for 8 string guitars to deliver powerful tones. Although the RGIM7BC is a 7-string guitar, the multi-scale design requires the pickups to be slanted to cover all the strings, meaning it needing a longer pickup. Manufactured with an alnico V magnet and wide aperture coils, the EMG 808 offers an enhanced low string, whilst still delivering a balanced tone. This powerful duo of EMG pickups will articulate every note, chord and harmonic, offering a reliably versatile sound.
The RGIM7BC Iron Label features a special mono-rail bridge to improve string sustain and stability. Designed to work with the multi-scale neck, this bridge provides the ultimate string-to-string isolation, allowing each string to vibrate freely without affecting being affected by the others.
The Ibanez Iron Label Series are a meticulously designed and professional quality series of 6, 7 and 8 string electric guitars purposely built for modern metal guitar players. The guitar’s feature only the highest quality parts, such as active EMG or DiMarzio pickups, Ibanez’s own nitro wizard neck, heavy duty hardware and switches. By stripping back the designs to the basics and working from the ground up, Ibanez have built an adept line of heavy metal guitars that cater to your every need and prove to be an outstanding choice for all styles of metal players.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
