Key Features
The Fat Fuzz Factory is Z.Vex's latest take on their flagship Fuzz Factory pedal. The Fat Fuzz pedal is the same as the original Fuzz Factory but they have added a switch that opens up the bottom end making this excellent or guitar or bass.
Product Ref: 33482
The Z.Vex Fat Fuzz Factory is designed to consume less energy than the other effect pedals. When the pedal is on the Fat Fuzz Factory's current is less than 3mA. It is hand painted and assembled individually by hand so each one is unique.
Volume: For Output Level
Drive: This increases the distortion when used as a customary fuzz, and adjusts feedback pitch and tonal thickness. When Compress is all the way right this control becomes unimportant.
Stability: Turn all the way round to the right. Do not attempt to adjust this control below 2:00, unless you like your fuzz very soft. Use the Stability to also control feedback pitch.
Compress: Gives attack characteristics when turned to the left and turning to the right makes it softer, then unexpectedly tweaks the tone when all the way right. Also use to tune in fat feedback fuzz. Lower the Stability and see what happens to this control.
Gate: Turn to right to destroy hiss and buzz, ending just as they disappear, or use to tune in exact feedback pitch. Turning to left opens gate.
Power Supply: All Z.Vex pedals use a 9VDC power supply with (-) polarity on the middle pin. Using the improper supply may damage your pedal. You can also power your pedal with a 9V battery too. The Z.Vex pedal uses the lowest current possible, extending the battery life. 'ON' current is less than 4mA, compared to the Tube Screamer at almost 40mA. Unplug the input jack when not in use to preserve battery life.
