Key Features
The Doepfer A-133 is a dual voltage controlled polarizer. It packs two voltage controlled amplifiers into it, allowing for both positive and negative amplifications. Using negative amplification, you can invert the incoming signal - whether that is a control voltage or an audio signal.
The A-133 has manual control of amplification, but you can control it with an external source using the CV attenuator. This enables interesting automation possibilities between negative and positive amplifications - allowing for waveshaping, frequency modulation and more.

If you're looking for a VCA with something a little different to it, the A-133 might be the module to fill that space. Both negative and positive amplification allow it to perform a number of unusual tasks.
For example, you can perform frequency modulation by connecting two standard oscillators - one to CV and one to an audio input. Or use a single oscillator, taking two of its wave sources, plugging one into CV, one to audio in, and you'll get a manual waveshaper at your fingertips. These are only a few suggestions - the A-133 has a lot more possibility that you can explore for yourself!
