Onboard are three algorithms that are used to produce the waveform. Plain is a variable sample rate direct waveform synthesis. Super is six oscillators with LFO phase modulation, and Noise is a fixed sample rate Perlin noise oscillator. Although there’s only three algorithms, the module is capable of churning out a huge amount of sounds.
The base pitch of your sound can be varied across 23 octaves of range, so there’s definitely enough space to play with here.
The Morph/Fold knob controls the timbre of the waveform. The Plain and Super modes morph through the basic waveforms (sine, square, saw, triangle, sine) and then start wavefolding the sine waveform. In Noise mode, it broadens the spectrum and then begins wavefolding.
The Sinc Iter is a great sound design tool. By morphing the waveforms together you can get a range of tones from simple sinewaves, metallic alien-like sounds, to gritty, crushed and dark noises.
You can also use the SYNC option for LFO sync and sync modulation, allowing you to switch up your tone even more.
The Sinc Iter can also be used as a control source/LFO thanks to its front panel unipolar and bipolar outputs.
