This LA Select is an affordable way for guitarists of all levels to capture the vibe of some of music's most respected guitar greats. The sleek, double cutaway body and powerful tones of its humbucker pickup and dual single coil pickups are inspired by sound of some of the most legendary guitars in the history of music.
Capable of producing anything from deep rock crunch, through vintage inspired blues to sparkling highs, the LA Select can be used for both rhythm and lead at the flip of a switch. A 5 way selector gives access to the wealth of guitar sounds the LA has to offer - tones for everything from rock, blues and funk to jazz. The Humbucking bridge pickup offers a thicker fuller edge, while a pair of single coil pickups in the middle and neck position ensure the classic chime of this well loved style of solid body electric guitar is honoured.
Easy Playing Neck, Comfortable Body
The solid, contoured body of the LA Select guitar makes it comfortable to play. Featuring a body crafted from Ash wood; the attractive denim burst finish, white 3-ply pickguard and white pickups complement this guitar's classic design.
The LA Select's full size, 22 fret neck is constructed from roasted maple. The roasting process ensures a better resistance to humidity and temperature change meaning less time setting up and more time playing. It also gives a more balanced tone while remaining a familiar and comfortable playing surface. This ensures quick and easy movement along the neck for those faster licks whilst the guitar's double cutaway design lets you rip through blistering solos with easier access to the higher frets.
If dive bombing or blues vibrato are your thing the LA Select is equipped with a modern 2 post tremolo. If you prefer things a little more mellow, the tremolo arm is removable and can simply be attached when needed. The guitar also features a volume control and tone dial, both of which sit within easy reach for quick adjustments during a gig.
