The DiMarzio DP262F Dark Matter Neck Pickup, F-Space is a special edition pickup designed by Steve Vai. It produces a sound like a cross between a humbucker and single coil. It faithfully reproduces pick harmonics and works especially well on 24 fret guitars. Steve Vai worked along with DiMarzio to design two special edition pickup covers for the gravity storm pickups. This Dark Matter pickup features a custom pickup grill, with a host of gear patterns reminiscent of a clock. The design is cut all the way through the satin nickel cover, allowing the pickup bobbins below to show through; making your guitar look unique.

Steve Vai's Incredible Design

The Gravity Storm neck and bridge model were designed for Steve Vai who has used them since 2012. Steve worked with DiMarzio to create two special edition pick up covers for the gravity storm. They designed a unique clock like pickup grill which allows you to see the pickup bobbins down below. The Dark Matter neck is available in F-spacing only.
