The Faith Legacy Mahogany Mars features a torrefied Canadian sitka spruce top which not only offers an authentic aesthetic appeal, but adds a rich, mellow and matured voice to the guitar's overall sound. Torrefied tonewoods go through a torrefaction process where the tonewood is air dried and then roasted in a kiln. The kiln-aging environment controls oxygen levels precisely to reduce moisture then as the tonewood cools-down specific amounts of moisture are re-added to the wood. This process leaves the Legacy's sitka top looking and sounding similar to those cherished vintage builds and pre-war era guitars. Additionally, its Canadian sitka spruce top yields crisp articulation and delivers a broad dynamic range, perfect for the player craving versatility. Sitka's versatile nature also offers a superb response to a variety of genres and techniques with ease, accommodating fingerpicking to meaty chords with equal ease.
The Faith Legacy Mahogany Mars also features African khaya mahogany back and sides which produce a woody, warm tonal character with a focused mid-range.
