Built to commemorate seven decades of Strat history, this limited edition model captures every detail of the 1954 original, from its off-centre two-piece ash body to its period-correct contours. Finished in a wide fade 2-Colour Sunburst with flash coat lacquer, it offers the unmistakable aesthetic of the very first Strats, preserving the look of a 1954 beauty.
Equipped with Custom Shop hand-wound '54 Strat pickups, this guitar delivers the clear, bell-like tones that defined the early Stratocaster sound. Each pickup is carefully voiced to replicate the shimmering highs, full lows and dynamic response of the original single coils. The traditional Strat wiring includes a modern 5-way selector switch, offering access to a wide range of vintage-inspired tones for any style or setting.
Every piece of hardware on the 70th Anniversary Strat stays true to its 1954 roots. The vintage-style bridge with cold-rolled steel saddles, vintage tremolo arm with eggshell tip, and nickel/chrome hardware create an authentic playing feel and visual appeal. The aged white pickguard and period-correct control knobs have been carefully matched to capture the character of Fender's original design.
The custom 70th Anniversary neck is crafted from quarter-sawn maple, offering stability and a smooth feel. Shaped to match the original 1954 profile, it features a full .885" thickness at the first fret and .980" at the 12th. The 7.25" radius fingerboard with narrow tall frets balances vintage feel with improved playability, while the bone nut and micarta dot inlays complete the classic aesthetic.
