Take your playing to the stage. Sometimes you just need a bit more volume. For that, Fender have installed an exclusive Fishman pickup / preamp system that allows you to plug into an amplifier and get enough projection to fill any venue. Fishman have voiced this system specifically for this guitar, resulting in excellent tonal reproduction through an amplifier. Perform with absolute confidence. Your sound will be amplified expertly by this clever, bespoke system.
Solid spruce teamed with beautiful mahogany
Coming from the revered guitar maestros Fender, you can be sure of quality craftsmanship and knowledgeably selected tonewoods. The Limited Edition Redondo does not disappoint with a resounding solid spruce top backed up by mahogany back, sides and neck. These woods offer fantastic durability and stunning resonant characteristics.
Underpinning the spruce top is a quartersawn scalloped X bracing. Crucial to generating a balanced tone with soaring projection, the bracing is one of the key ingredients to the Redondo's impressive sound. Fender observe every detail. Quartersawn is the most premium wood cuts as it reduces the chances of shrinking, wear or swelling.
With no compromise on aesthetics or harmonics, the tonewoods are accented by a magnificent maple binding and rosette, completing the truly individual style of the Redondo
Effortlessly playability on pau ferro fretboard
Delve into endless riffs and melodies. The Redondo wants you to play for hours by providing a comfortable slim "C" shaped neck making it easy on your fretting hand. Chords will feel natural as the slim shaped neck gives your fingers plenty room to reach the fretboard. And what a fretboard it is. Crisp pau ferro offers a soft but highly responsive touch and lets every note shine. As a sustainable alternative to rosewood, pau ferro possesses many of the same qualities as the revered fretboard wood whilst being responsibly sourced.
At the top the guitar is the premium bone nut, giving your strings a solid anchor and keeping fret buzz to an absolute minimum. The nut sits just in front of the striking slanted jazzmaster style headstock, infusing the Redondo with Fender signature flair. Sealed nickel tuning machines provide solid tuning stability and are the finishing touches on exceptionally accomplished guitar.
