Key Features
The Bastl Basil Digital Stereo Delay is a powerful, feature-packed and highly versatile Eurorack delay module. It offers an extensive range of effects from clean to lo-fi delays, choruses, flangers, vibratos, pitch shifters, reverbs and more. Its V/Oct input allows for fine tuning of the delay in relation to your material's pitch. The Space section provides two ways to diffuse the delay and filter options for added control over the sound.
With an assignable CTRL knob and CV control ability, you can modulate any of the many parameters (time, stereo, dry/wet mix, feedback and speed) to craft unique sounds. The Speed section allows for longer delays that stay in tune across different pitches. Additionally, the Freeze mode can be used to layer samples with incoming signals while keeping it in sync with other parameters.
Whether you're after clean effects or glitchy sound design, Bastl Basil Digital Stereo Delay has got you covered! With its flexible features and intuitive design it will help you take your music production to the next level and explore beyond simple delay territory.

Bastl introduces the Basil, a digital stereo delay module that provides a variety of delay options for your Eurorack setup, making it the perfect choice for creating clean effects, ambient washes, glitchy sounds, or distorted drones. With its V/Oct input, fine delay tuning, and filter in the feedback path, it can also be effectively used as part of a Karplus-Strong synthesis voice. Even the feedback amount is compensated with the shortest delay times to ensure that the decay characteristics remain constant when changing pitch.
Delay time settings feature stereo spread and fine-tune components, and they can be synchronized to the clock via the Sync jack. Feedback knob has two sides - simple feedback and ping pong mode, allowing Left and Right channels to cross-feedback. Space section offers a variety of flavours to bring your sounds to life. Blur function provides two ways to diffuse the delay – either directly or in the feedback path, tilting Basil delay toward the realm of experimental reverb machines. Feedback Filter offers low-pass and high-pass modes for making the sound brighter or darker. Finally, Taps are multi-taps with either odd or even spacing, adding density to your delays and reverbs.
To modulate any of the numerous parameters (time, stereo, fine, dry/wet, feedback, speed, freeze, lo-fi, blur, filter, and taps) and tailor Basil delay to your preferred use, you can use the assignable CTRL knob and CV. Longer delay times are possible with the Speed section by running the buffer at half speed or, in the extended range, at quarter and eighth speeds, resulting in octave jumps that ensure the delays remain in tune with your material and create drone layers. Running at lower speeds also comes with a low-pass anti-aliasing filter that can help remove high frequencies, but the LO-FI setting allows you to turn the filter off and create down sampled sounds at lower speeds.
