Detailed sound with powerful built-in output
The CT X5000's AiX sound source is built to reproduce a wide range of tones with detailed changes in character and dynamics. Its processing handles different sound types individually, helping melody parts, drums, bass, and other accompaniment elements stay distinct within a performance. With 800 tones available, you have a broad palette for acoustic, electronic, and ensemble playing. The built-in sound system is equally capable, pairing two 10cm speakers with 15W + 15W amplification. A bass reflex enclosure reinforces the low end, so you can get a strong, full sound directly from the keyboard.
Find important controls quickly
With this much functionality, quick access matters. The CT X5000 uses a tile-style control layout to keep major functions organised and easy to reach, while Direct Select buttons help you move straight to suitable tones and rhythms. That can be especially useful on stage, where you may need to change settings without navigating through multiple menus. A backlit LCD and dial make deeper adjustments more manageable, too. You can also save up to 128 registration setups containing settings such as tones, rhythms, and tempo, then recall them when you need them during a performance.
Shape your sound in detail
The CT X5000 gives you a substantial effects section for refining tones and building more varied arrangements. There are 100 DSP types, 32 reverbs, 12 chorus types, 20 delays, and 10 Master EQ types plus one user setting. You can also work with 150 arpeggiator types, 12 auto harmonise types, layer and split functions, octave shifting, transpose, modulation, and pitch bend. Effects can be adjusted while you play, helping you change the character of a sound during a performance rather than relying on fixed settings. With 310 music presets available as well, there are plenty of starting points for different musical styles.
Record, arrange, and build complete ideas
For songwriting and arrangement, the CT X5000 includes a 17-track MIDI recorder with capacity for 10 songs and approximately 40,000 notes per song. You can record separate parts across the 16 multitracks, then edit tracks, events, and sections using punch-in/out and overdubbing. A 42-channel mixer gives you detailed control over tone and effects across different parts, while four phrase pads let you record and trigger phrases during performance. You can also create your own eight-part rhythm patterns, play WAV files from USB flash memory, and connect computers, audio equipment, microphones, pedals, and headphones through the available ports.
