The Sequential Prophet-6 is Dave Smith's tribute to the poly synth that started it all - the Sequential Prophet-5. More than a reissue, this reimagining of the classic synthesizer adds a wide range of new features - whilst staying true to the original aesthetic of the Prophet-5.

Taking all the good stuff from the original Prophet-5, the Prophet-6 adds a wide range of amazing features to set it apart. It keeps the great sounding oscillators, filters, and amps and adds incredible new features like effects, arpeggiators, and the awesome polyphonic step sequencer - which allows up to 69 steps of compositional power. Allowing you arrange entire songs with your Prophet-6. If you want the best of classic and the power of modern technology, then the Prophet-6 is the synthesizer for you.
That warm tone
In order to obtain that punchy warmy, there are two newly designed discrete voltage-controlled oscillators (plus sub-oscillator) per voice. You can add continuous movements via variable waveshapes that offer a wide tonal palette across triangle, sawtooth, and variable-width pulse waves. All this, including amazing high-pass, two-pole, resonant filters - across an entirely analog signal path.
Studio quality effects
Take your sound design to the next level with an array of studio-level effects. Reverbs, delays, chorus, and phase shifter. They are digital effects, but don't worry, thanks to true analog bypass the signal sounds incredibly warm and stays firmly in the analog realm.
Polyphonic - no matter what you do
The Poly Mod section was integral part of the original - it has now been enhanced. Modulation sources are filter envelope and oscillator 2 which has a bi-polar control. You can send these modulation sources to oscillator 1 frequency, shape, pulse width, low-pass filter cutoff, or high-pass filter cutoff.
There is a powerful 64 step polyphonic step sequencer, which allows up to 6 notes per step. You can create great sounding sequences which can also include rests and sync them up to an external MIDI clock. You can also synchronise the full featured arpeggiator with external MIDI clock as well.
Program and play your way
The right sound when you need it. There are 500 permanent factory programs in 10 banks of 100 programs. As well as this you can also save up to 500 user programs. Toggling the preset button enables live panel mode where the Prophet-6 switches the current settings of its knobs and switches. So you can reference the settings when you need to.
With a semi weighted keyboard, which also has velocity and channel aftertough, the Prophet is an awesome combination between portability, playability and power. Ideal for stage and studio. The ultimate classic synthesizer.
