With 450 preset styles, the PSR-SX620 gives you plenty of accompaniment options for arranging songs and exploring different genres. Each style provides multiple intros, main variations, fills, and endings, so you can develop an arrangement as you play rather than sticking to one backing pattern. Smart Chord can generate full chords from root notes, helping make accompaniment more accessible. And when you want more freedom, the chord looper lets you record and repeat chord sequences — freeing your hands for melodies, improvisation, or other performance controls. You can store up to eight sequences in each chord looper bank.
Find the right sound for each part
A large collection of voices gives you room to explore different instruments and build layered keyboard parts. Alongside 1,002 Voices, you get 51 Drum/SFX Kits and 480 XG Voices, with 128-note polyphony supporting more involved arrangements. The selection includes 137 Super Articulation Voices, which reproduce characteristic details associated with acoustic instruments for added expression. Right 1, Right 2, and Left keyboard parts let you combine sounds across the keyboard, while Voice Set editing provides further control. Around 380 MB of Expansion Voice capacity also lets you add compatible content as your sound library develops.
Shape your performance as you play
The PSR-SX620 puts useful performance controls within easy reach. Its joystick gives you direct pitch and modulation control, helping you add movement and expression without interrupting your playing. Two assignable live control knobs can adjust parameters such as tone, effects, and style settings in real time, so you can tailor their role to your setup. Multi pads add another creative option, letting you trigger rhythmic phrases, melodic patterns, and loops alongside your performance. Audio Link support means your own audio can also be assigned to multi ads, giving you a straightforward way to incorporate custom sounds and samples.

A newly developed speaker system helps the PSR-SX620 produce a fuller sound while keeping its cabinet compact. Two 12 cm speakers are driven by 15 W + 15 W amplification, while the internal BassPort, enlarged internal sound chamber, and front-facing bass reflex design improve low-frequency depth and response. This gives you an integrated setup for home practice and playing for others without requiring separate speakers. When you do connect to external equipment, upgraded line-output circuitry provides a clearer, more powerful signal for PA systems, external speakers, or recording setups.
