The Cwejman MMF-2 Stereo Multi Mode Filter is the ultimate Eurorack filter module, boasting an integrated saturation stage, as well as mix controls. One of the most convenient and flexible features of the MMF-2 is the ability to switch between true stereo mode, or use the module as dual independent filters, providing you with more than enough choice for re-shaping and sculpting your sound sources. It can be used for a wide range of sound design applications, from use as a post-production filter, to being experimenting with signal source and a wide range of varied settings. It features a wide range of in-depth modulation control, as well as flexible connection section that includes a wide range of outputs including audio and CV patch points.
The comprehensive control section, provides you with a wide range of parameters, including precision attenuators for dialling in your required levels. The centre of the module features a Master Cutoff control, with a range of 16Hz – 16kHz for optimal versatility. It boasts a wide range of filtering modes including bandpass, low, pass low-band pass, band-high pass, high pass and notch and bypass modes. Each mode utilises different filtering settings for the purpose for sound design and experimentation. You can use it for everything from cleaning up signal sources, to changing the overall tone and style of a sound. The controls include Cutoff, Q-Peak, Filter Bypass, Master Cutoff, Mix, as well as Left and Right audio input attenuators. There are also three two-position switches that control the saturation mode, saturation setting sand link Q-Peak control.
One of the most unique features of this filter module is the integrated saturation stage. The saturation circuit provides added versatility when it comes to crafting your sound. It features Hard and Soft settings for changing the dominant harmonics of your signal source. The saturation effect can be used to boost volume levels, provide a harsher sound, or simply for adding a well-rounded tone to your sound. The effect is dependent on the strength of your signal, with the saturation controlled via the strength of the incoming signal and in post mode by the level of your outgoing signal from the filters.
The convenient mix controls, allow you to control the blend of the Wet or Dry signal. The Mix controls is designed to work in stereo mode, and be controlled manually via the Mix attenuator and CV Mix connection. The Mix control does not interfere with the direct outputs: LPF, BPF and HPF.
The ergonomic layout of the MMF-2, gives you the ability to make changes on the fly. The precision attenuators allow you to dial in your levels with ease. The top of the module features LED lights on the L and R channels, providing a visual indication of when the circuit is overloaded for added protection. The versatile connection section features a wide range of audio and CV connectivity, for connecting to external modules and equipment. There are three dedicated outputs for HPF, LPF and BPF modes. These are comprised of Left and Right outputs as well as a Main output for the Left and Right channels. There are also dual audio inputs for both Left and Right channels. Other parameters such a Q-Peak, Mix, Master Cutoff and Cal Cutoff are also included for maximum versatility.
