Featuring a compact half-rack design, this versatile device can stream and record audio and video content in Full HD resolution using the H.264 video codec, removing the need for separate devices to do everything. This allows for simultaneous, smooth, and high-quality playback of content on any compatible device such as mobile phones, tablets, computers, and TVs.

Powerful connectivity options

The VS-R264 also offers powerful connectivity options to ensure your content reaches its destination with ease. It supports multiple transmission methods including Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), as well as supporting integration with streaming services like YouTube, Wowza, Ustream, AWS Elemental MediaLive, CloudFront, and more. Furthermore, it is possible to automatically upload recorded files directly onto network storage.

To store files locally, the VS-R264 has its own 17GB internal storage, an SD/SDHC card slot that hosts cards with up to 32GB of storage, and the ability to store on an external hard drive via the USB 3.0 connection, for added convenience. HDMI I/O connectivity allows you to connect media players, cameras, and screens, with balanced analog audio in-and-out via Euroblock connectors making it easy to connect both professional and consumer audio systems to the device.

Integration capabilities

Offering full control from a RESTful API function, the Tascam VS-R264 allows for secure integration into automation and control systems. This is perfect for use in live events, government sessions, boardroom presentations, concert venues, houses of worship or for connections between rooms or locations. Additionally, the devices have an intuitive web interface that allows administrators to easily configure settings such as resolution and frame rate with ease.

Integrating the VS-R264 into your existing setup is easy, you can attach it to furniture with included mounting brackets, discretely integrating it into your workspace. Part of the Tascam Dante Compact Processor Series, the VS-R264 can be daisy chained via the extra data connector, it can also be combined with another compact processor to be fitted as a 1U 19-inch rackmount, using the purpose-made AK-RS1 rackmount shelf.
