Jargar Strings was founded in Denmark in 1956 by Royal Danish Orchestra cellist Jarl Hansen. After years of experimenting with alternatives to traditional gut strings, Hansen developed a flexible steel-core design intended to offer greater tuning stability, durability, and projection.
