Key Features
The Stentor Amati model violin provides a refined design and rich, warm tone. Modelled on the original 1694 model by Nicola Amati himself, the Amati violin is a truly beautiful replica guaranteed to leave you impressed.
To ensure the Amati violin is true to its original design, Stentor used premium woods for the body - specifically selected and figured European Spruce and Maple. These are then hand-carved to ensure key features such as the deeper arching - a signature Amati style.
Once the violin has been carved, it is then hand-finished with a traditional shellac varnish. Finally, the Amati model is strung with Pirastro Tonica strings and workshop tested to guarantee perfection.
Please note: due to the bespoke nature of this instrument the grain of the wood will vary and this may be supplied as a one-piece or two-piece back depending on availability.
Nearly New: This product may have been opened for quality control purposes, returned by a customer, refurbished, or may have non-essential parts or software missing. Otherwise, the product operates as new. This is a great opportunity to buy a fully functioning product at a discounted price.

The Stentor Amati has been given some of the best fittings available to make a truly professional instrument. Ebony was chosen for the fingerboard, pegs, and chinrest because of its super-fine grain which is very resistant to moisture. As a result, these Ebony fittings won't warp or bulge over time, making the instrument long-lasting and easy to maintain. Ebony is also a tough wood, meaning it is less susceptible to damage.
Pirastro Tonica violin strings have been crafted from nylon to give a softer feel for the performer. These popular strings produce a sound that's very lively and well rounded, making them a great alternative to gut strings. Tonica strings also boast a significantly reduced background hiss, meaning that sustained notes sound great and have an even tone.
