One of the first things you'll notice about the playLITE clarinet is the bright red body. Made from strong ABS resin, the playLITE clarinet is definitely more robust than wooden clarinets, which are notoriously delicate. The issue with wooden clarinets, especially models made from Grenadilla wood, is that you have to be careful what environment you play them in. Due to their organic nature, sudden humidity or temperature changes can result in the wood cracking - which is an expensive fix! You won't have any of that with the playLITE clarinet. The ABS is unaffected by environmental factors, making them nearly maintenance-free.

The 17 key Boehm configuration is the most common key system, and the majority of clarinet teachers will prefer a new student to learn on this set-up. To ensure that your clarinet is easy to play, it comes complete with blue steel springs which keep the mechanism fast and responsive. Perfect for rapid progression, these springs are ideal for getting you through your first grades. What's more, the playLITE clarinet even includes leather pads. What does this mean for you? Easier note production, better intonation, and an overall better playing experience. These pads are definitely going to make your life easier.

To keep the clarinet safe, the playLITE clarinet comes with a lightweight hard case that offers strong protection. On the outside of the case, you will find the robust zipper and two handles with a velcro strap for extra security. On the front of the case, you will find a large pocket which is perfect for storing your sheet music. Moulded especially for the Gear4music clarinet, the playLITE fits perfectly inside the case. For an extra touch of protection, the inside is lined with a soft-touch material that won't scratch your instrument. There is also a dedicated compartment for any additional accessories.

Inside the case you will find a matching mouthpiece, ligature, reed, cloth, and cork grease. This means you don't need to purchase any extra accessories to play your new clarinet. Simply assemble the clarinet and start playing straight away! If preferred, you can even use any regular clarinet mouthpiece with the playLITE clarinet.
